Between Nature, Sports, and History

Agricamping Podere Santa Clorinda, thanks to its favorable location, is the ideal place for those seeking a vacation in total relaxation, but also for those who love sports, exploring the surrounding nature, discovering the history of the area, and tasting the quality of agricultural products and local foods.

The campground is located within the Metalliferous Hills National Park. The owners are pleased to assist guests with recommendations for excursions into nature and to nearby villages.

Metalliferous Hills National Park

The Metalliferous Hills owe their name to the wealth of minerals found in the subsoil. Here, you can immerse yourself in unspoiled nature, cross lush forests and admire enchanting hilly landscapes. Walks and hikes will lead you to discover ancient abandoned mines, historical evidence of a past tied to metal extraction.
In the Metalliferous Hills National Park, you will also have the opportunity to explore picturesque villages and medieval towns that blend harmoniously with the surrounding environment.

The park’s fauna and flora are exceptional, offering ideal habitats for many rare and protected species. You can spot wildlife such as deer, wild boars and a wide variety of birds.

For outdoor activity enthusiasts, the Metalliferous Hills National Park offers numerous opportunities. You can engage in hiking, cycling, climbing and even take a dip in the cool waters of the rivers that flow through the park.

Medieval Villages and the Etruscan World

From our camping, you can reach the enchanting surrounding medieval villages. Among the historical and artistic jewels not to be missed are Massa Marittima, Castiglione della Pescaia, Caldana, Gavorrano, and Scarlino.

Massa Marittima captivates visitors with its Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance architecture. Strolling through its narrow streets, you can admire the majestic Cathedral of San Cerbone, which dominates the main square. Be sure to visit the Palazzo del Podestà and the Torre del Candeliere for a dive into history.

Our agricamping staff can guide guests to explore this medieval gem.

Castiglione della Pescaia, serenely nestled by the sea, offers a perfect combination of natural beauty and medieval charm. You can walk along the castle walls and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the sea. The historic center will enchant you with its picturesque alleys and restaurants serving local delicacies made with fresh fish. The Diaccia Botrona is a wetland of international importance, where you can spot herons and many other bird varieties.

Scarlino, situated on a hill overlooking the Gulf of Follonica, will offer you picturesque views and an authentic atmosphere. The Castle of Scarlino, dating back to the 11th century, is a must-see, while the cobblestone streets of the village will take you back in time.

Vetulonia is a great destination for those wishing to explore the Etruscan world. In the small medieval village, you can see the remains of the Etruscan walls dating back to the 6th century BC. Outside the medieval settlement are the remains of a neighborhood dating back to the 2nd century BC, with what remains of houses, a paved street, sewer system, and sidewalks. Further down are the monumental tombs along the via dei Sepolcri.

These medieval villages will fascinate you with their history, unique architecture, and evocative atmospheres.

The Most Beautiful Beaches

The Tuscan coast near us is dotted with enchanting beaches, each waiting to be discovered. The sea is less than 15 minutes by car from the campground.

Cala Violina: This small beach, nestled between rocks, features white sand and crystal-clear water. It has a unique characteristic, hence its name, which comes from the sound the quartz sand grains make when stepped on. The agricamping staff guides guests to the beach on a walk, sharing stories and insights about the local nature and history.
Punta Ala: A long sandy beach, ideal for families and those who love windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Torre Mozza: A wild beach with golden sand and turquoise sea.
Cala Civette: A small hidden beach among the rocks, perfect for those seeking relaxation and tranquility.

All the beaches of Castiglione della Pescaia and Follonica are easily accessible, suitable for everyone due to the gently sloping seabed and the facilities available, some of which are also specialized for those on vacation with their fur friends.
